WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING?
QUESTIONS? WE GOT YOU!
Maintenance should include a weekly addition of bromine to keep the water sanitary, regular balancing of pH, alkalinity and other levels, replacing the water every three or four months, and an annual flushing of water lines. Creams, makeup and perfumes upset the water balance, causing foam and cloudiness. A quick shower before going in the hot tub is a good idea!
The number of jets in a hot tub isn’t a good predictor of a hot tub’s effectiveness. Having the right jets, at the right strength, in the right places, will impact the quality of the massage experience much more than sheer numbers. Jets should be fully adjustable, targeted to specific muscle groups, and designed to massage those muscle groups in the most effective manner. Just like a good masseuse will use different techniques on different muscles, hot tub jets are not one size fits all.
A high horsepower rating can sound appealing, but if not properly combined with the right jets, plumbing, and flow control, it can be misleading. A lower horsepower pump in a more efficient hot tub will produce just as much jet power as a higher horsepower pump, and do so using less energy. In the end, it’s the massage experience which really counts, so we encourage you to test it for yourself.
The actual power consumption and cost can vary depending on the quality of your spa, how well it is insulated, how efficiently it operates, how often you use the hot tub, how cold your climate is, and the utility rates in your area. It is reasonable to expect an increase of $30 to $60 monthly for most quality spas, and more for cheaper units.
A good warranty is critical to making sure your investment is well-protected, but it’s also only as good as the company’s ability to stand behind it. It is essential to read the fine print to check that they cover what they claim.
Most people find that a hot tub increases their quality of life- better relaxation, communication, and other health benefits. The only time we see people shy away from buying a second hot tub is based on a poor experience with a low quality, low reputation brand.
